Ride For Food 2021

  • Food Link, Inc. 108 Summer Street Arlington, MA, 02474 United States (map)

Want to fight hunger?  Be a part of the Food Link team!

It’s time again for the Ride For Food, and you can join the fun as part of our Food Link team. There are two great options available for 2021:

Off the Beaten Path:

Bike, run, kayak, hike, swim – have a summer adventure with family or friends. This was how the Ride for Food went virtual last year, and people enjoyed it so much that we are continuing to make this an option.

  • $25 registration fee

  • All ages welcome

  • Suggested fundraising minimum of $350

Choose your own adventure and support Food Link in whatever creative way you choose. Some of last year’s projects were:

  • Biking the length of the Minuteman Trail

  • 50-mile bike ride

  • 5K hike with kids

  • Kayaking 100 miles over the course of the summer

  • Jogging or running every street in Arlington

  • Walking the perimeter of Arlington

Ride in the in-person Ride For Food:

It’s back! Hooray! Sunday, October 3, 2021 - Nobles and Greenough School, Dedham, MA. Gorgeous early autumn scenery on 25 or 50-mile routes

  • $50 ride registration

  • Riders must be 14 years and older (riders 14 through 18 must have signed waiver and be accompanied by an adult)

  • Suggested fundraising minimum of $500

Can’t decide? You can register for BOTH options for $65!

However you choose to join us, you’ll be part of the community fighting hunger in Massachusetts. Our team captain Karin will support your fundraising efforts, and has all sorts of adventure ideas up her sleeve if you take the “Off the Beaten Path” option.

As a team member, you’ll receive a Food Link t-shirt to wear as you move your body for a great cause. You’ll also get the chance to take a (socially-distanced) tour of The Hub to see for yourself the amazing work Food Link can do thanks to your generosity. Depending on people’s comfort levels, we can meet up for an outdoor team gathering and possibly even an optional training ride. We hope you will join us for this great adventure!

In 2020 we raised over $40,000 to help Food Link meet the increased need for its services – won’t you help us keep the ball rolling? Here’s how you can help:

  • Make a donation to our team!

  • Register to ride with us!

  • Encourage friends to donate or register!
